What Sets This Course Apart?
You won't find anything like this out there...

Our approach to testing women's nutrient levels before pregnancy is totally new. We are the first to coin these optimal nutrient targets as Pregnancy-Ready Nutrient Levelsâ„¢ (PRLs), and bring them to women in an accessible and easy-to-follow course.

To my knowledge, this course is the first ever of its kind that is geared toward pre-pregnancy wellness (not just problem-solving) with every recommendation targeted to exactly the positive + healthy pregnancy experience you are hoping for.

Doctor-Developed

I've practised alongside midwives, medical doctors + naturopathic doctors for 10 years, and throughout that time I have looked at hundreds of nutrient lab tests and helped numerous patients improve their nutrient levels. I understand nutrition & the mechanics of how nutrients work in the body pretty darn well.

Backed by 100's of Scientific Studies
This course translates the science jargon into a straight forward, step-by-step program that makes sense. I love being able to tell you exactly what science-supported benefits go along with reaching EVERY Pregnancy-Ready Nutrient Level (PRL). I want you to feel motivated + inspire you to get your nutrient stores ready for pregnancy when you see the value in it!

Beyond The General Advice

For women who want to be proactive before they get pregnant, there are really only general recommendations out there to get ready. Important recommendations, definitely. But, pretty basic. Yes, you should be taking a quality prenatal multi before you get pregnant. And, you should definitely stop drinking or smoking. And you should ideally be a healthy weight, and also check your medications for safety in case you get pregnant unexpectedly....But, is there more that you can do...something that is specific to YOUR body?

The answer is YES!
Start your pregnancy on a strong foot by getting your nutrient stores ready before. Get your nutrients checked and see which you need to focus on for your own body. No more popping a bunch of nutritional supplements because they might be helpful. Do what will make the biggest impact for your pregnancy & future child based on your unique nutrient profile and health situation. You'll know you've done something really concrete to move you toward the positive & healthy outcome you want!

At the end of the day, it really is about being healthy during & after our pregnancy & giving our kids a strong start...

You will discover in this course that starting pregnancy at Pregnancy-Ready Nutrient Levelsâ„¢ (PRLs) is one of the first concrete & powerful steps we can take toward helping our kids be their best - months and years later! It isn't the only step, but it gives us (and them) a strong start in pregnancy & beyond.

This course comes after years of research and careful development. It comes after having two healthy, little girls. It comes with a lot of heart + hope for you as you embark on the journey of becoming a parent (for the first time, or again!).
I am so excited to share it with you :) And, I wish you all the best on your journey of conceiving!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long will it take me to get to Pregnancy Ready Nutrient Levels (PRLs)?

The time to get to PRLs will be different for everyone. But, on average, most women can reach PRLs in 3 months or less. In the course, we will look at how different diet & supplement strategies can change that timeline. But keep in mind, if you are starting out really low in one of our PRL nutrients, it might take you longer. Also, remember that this is an average - everyone's timeline will be different! Part of what I do when I work with women is to tweak nutrition strategies to help them get to PRLs on their ideal timeline to conceive.

I am already taking some basics like Vitamin D and Omega 3. Does this course really offer anything else but more of the basics?

Good job for already having some important nutrients in place before you get pregnant! In this course, you'll find out that just because you take these nutrients, it doesn't mean you will be at PRLs. In fact, you probably fall short of at least one of our PRLs. Reaching PRLs actually takes very specific doses and taking those doses for certain periods of time. Omega-3 is a great example of this. Taking the typical dose found in many supplements actually won't get women to PRLs, no matter how long they are taking it.

Is the nutrient testing that I need to get free?

Some are free, and others are not. This course looks at 6 key nutrients, each having 6 different tests to measure them.
3 of these tests are available in Canada at your family doctor (MD) and are free. Both the BASE course and the COACHING package are built around getting these 3 nutrient tests at your MD. They are part of routine blood work, and so you shouldn't have any issue getting them from most doctors. It keeps the cost of our package down for clients to get these tests for free at their family doc.
3 of these tests are either unavailable at your MD, or you would pay for them at your MD in Canada. These 3 tests are either available to the public through direct lab-access (meaning you don't need a requisition from a doctor) or through a naturopathic doctor (ND) for variable fees. On average, a single round of these 3 tests costs about $300. We offer a discount code with a partner lab on some of these tests inside the BASE Course. If you register in the COACHING package, we include before & after - that's two rounds! - of these 3 tests in your package already.

Can I get reimbursed for any of the cost from my health insurance?

The naturopathic consults and nutrient tests included in the COACHING package may be covered by some third-party insurance companies or health spending accounts. We give you an itemized receipt as services and lab tests are rendered so you can submit it to your insurance.

Can I just DIY this course without going to my doctor?
This course has been developed around getting nutrient levels tested. To get most nutrients tested, you need to see an MD and/or ND. We give approximate timelines to reach PRLs based on the average Canadian woman's starting levels. If you don't know your starting nutrient levels, it will be difficult for you to accurately map out how long it will take you to get to PRLs and the best nutrition plan to get there. That being said, you may choose to tests all or only some of the nutrients we talk about.
I often get asked - "Can I just run with the averages and skip the testing and doctor visits altogether?!" I don't recommend it! I understand that some women may not be able to get all the testing, or see a naturopathic doctor (ND). If this is you, my advice is to at least get the tests done that are free for you at your family doctor, and talk to them about the best nutrition plan for you before pregnancy.

My plans to get pregnant have changed, and I can't do the course anymore. Can I get a refund?

We know that life can take unexpected turns, and plans to get pregnant can change. We offer instant access to the entire 8 week course so women can work through it as quickly as they want to. Because of that, we unfortunately are unable to offer refunds on the BASE Course. However, we do offer partial refunds on the Course + Coaching + Testing PACKAGE, based on any unused consults and tests that have not yet been shipped. Check out our full return policy here.
